It is Thursday, August 29th in the Julian Calendar, nearing the End of The Byzantine Rite Calendar. Their Liturgical Calendar begins on September 1st(Julian Calendar), which is September 14th(Gregorian Calendar), which is on the 14th Sunday After Pentecost(Tridentine and Byzantine in 2014), known on the Novus Ordo Missae Calendar as 24th Sunday Of Ordinary Time).

Note that Tridentine and Novus Ordo Calendar begins at the End of November with the 1st Sunday Of Advent. This will mark 45 Years of The Novus Ordo Missae in Practice.
Sadly, it also marks the Ending of The Exclusive Offering of The Tridentine Latin Mass as the ONLY Form of Mass in the Roman Rite. It will be 50 Years since the End of of that Most Venerable Practice which ended with the Introduction of The some vernacular, though the Offertory and Consecration were still in Latin and the Priest still faced Liturgical East.

It is a Time of Roman Rite Catholic Crossroads.

Kyrie Elaison!
