On Veetle.com, A Catholic Plan For 3s1net

26 Sep

The weather has cooled down. I am planning a Special on a Catholic School now closed, once run by the Sisters of Charity of St Vincent De Paul of Halifax, NS.
I have decided not to go to an all but abandoned Parish on the Brooklyn Queens Border. There is one only about 4.5 Blocks away from me. It opened in 1950 & ceased operations as a Parish School in 2006. Since 2002, many a Catholic School in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn has either been merged or just plain ceased to Exist.
As it is now 2014, there are 87 such outposts of Catholic Elementary Education left in Brooklyn and Queens. Reportedly, only one school closed back in June.
The 1st and 2nd Decades of The 21st Century, have not been kind to the Catholic Elementary Schools. Who knows what the rest of The Decade holds for them.
Then again, the Nuns of the 1960s and 1970s should not have played with such fads as Rogerian Psychology, which led to the current mess of emptying the Convents and Brothers Houses.

This is WHY Catholic School Education is becoming but a memory. Today’s Catholic School Children may not see a Brother or Nun at any time during the 14 Years(Including Grades N and K). All they will know is Lay Teachers.

Web Telecast Special is now in the works.
