A Homily On The 26Th Sunday In Ordinary Time

29 Sep

Of late, I tend to avoid the Roman Rite Novus Ordo Mass in favor of the Tridentine Latin Mass or the Byzantine Rite Divine Liturgy of St John Chrysostom, as both contain the Fullness of The Doctrine of Transubstantiation, where the Gifts of Bread and Wine become the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ.
Both have Offertory Prayers which anticipate the Sacrifice.
That having been said, in the Mass of The 26th Sunday Of Ordinary Time, the Priest spoke of The Sacrament of Penance, and there is a warning which he gives Penitents, that once the Sins are forgiven, The Devil starts in trying to tempt a Penitent.
It was a good lesson.

Deo Gratias!
