Michael Voris drives Home this important point that Holy Communion in the Roman Rite of The Catholic Church, the Actual Tradition of Holy Communion is Kneeling and on the Tongue, which one does at the Tridentine Latin Mass. In One Parish in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York, St. Agnes on East 43rd Street(Venerable Archbishop Fulton J Sheen Place), from whence the Tridentine Latin Mass went public in 1989, many people kneel for Holy Communion during the Ordinary Form Mass(Novus Ordo Missae).
In the more Liberally Inclined  Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Detroit, MI, there have been cases of Priests who refuse to give the Body of Christ to those who kneel, rather than when one stands.
Now the US Catholic Bishops made the Policy of Standing, supposedly in imitation of Byzantine Rite Practice.
Except that a good # of Tridentine Latin Mass Catholics often cross over to the Byzantine Rite of The Catholic Church in the Byzantine Divine Liturgy of St John Chrysostom, and understand the reason for Standing, as one is given the Admonishment, “Approach With Fear of The Lord and With Faith”, which is after the Holy Communion Prayer, which is Penitential. The Sacrament is Both the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Christ, under the Appearance of Unleavened Bread and Wine. One receives standing from the Priest via Intinction, via Holy Communion Spoon, with the Communicant’s Head tilted backward and the Sacrament is dropped into the Mouth via the Spoon.
The Imitation of Byzantine Rite Practice is not the same as the Actual Practice. Kneeling is Roman Rite Practice. In the Ordinary Form Mass, much of The Catholic Church Practice is Byzantine and Antiochian. But, most Roman Rite Catholics have never been taught about that. For me, I found this out by being at the Byzantine Divine Liturgy of St John Chrysostom at Holy Cross Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church in Astoria, Queens, and St. George Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church on East 7th Street in Manhattan’s East Village. One would wonder WHAT St. John Chrysostom would say to the Roman Rite Catholic Bishops of The United States Conference Of Catholic Bishops in regards to the Roman Rite Practice of Kneeling For Holy Communion. Trust me on this one, he would tell them to follow their traditions in a rather blunt way of Speaking.
According to Francis Cardinal Arinze, he stated that the US Bishops requested that Standing with a Profound Bow, be made the Norm for The United States of America. The Holy See approved it, but with the Proviso that those wishing to receive Holy Communion, be allowed to kneel for the Sacrament instead of Standing. Apparently the kneeling part in most Roman Catholic Dioceses in the United States, is being ignored by the Bishops themselves, though in my Home Diocese of Brooklyn, NY and in the Archdiocese of New York, Kneeling is permitted, a practice still going on at St Agnes on East 43rd Street.

Do watch the Video by Michael Voris. His father, Russ, was denied Holy Communion for kneeling. A Sweet Young Girl was denied Holy Communion for Kneeling by a Canon Lawyer, who neglected to read the part in Canon Law about kneeling for Holy Communion in the Roman Rite.

Kneeling is Roman Rite, while Standing is Byzantine Rite. Sadly, Our Shepherds have no clue as to what Rite they’re in.

Get it straight, for Rome is Not Byzantium.

Kyrie Elaison!
