It Was At Giants Stadium As I Remember

10 Aug

It was Soccer Great Pele’s Last Game. Pele'(Edson Arrantes Do Nascimento) received the Most Thunderous of Applause.

But the Game, in The New Jersey Meadowlands, was at a place called Giants Stadium.

The Next Largest Ovation went to RB-WR #16, a Member of The Pro Football Hall Of Fame. He was broadcasting for ABC Sports On That Day.

As there were Numerous NY Football Giants Fans in attendance, that other Thunderous Ovation went to Frank Gifford, whose Giants Heroics spanned the Polo Grounds and Yankee Stadium.

And “The Giff” was not forgotten. He died yesterday at home on Greenwich, CT, of Natural Causes, age 84, a Week short of his 85th Birthday.

Kyrie Elaison!
