HOT, HOT, HOT(It’s March)

It Was Like A July Night In November

7 Nov

It was Sultry out there, especially in the Caverns of Midtown Manhattan, as I had gone to The Holy Sacrifice Of The Mass At Holy Innocents RC Church in Midtown Manhattan on West 37th Street between Broadway and 7th Avenue. In fact it was so Sultry, the Air was way too moist & it was 75°F(24°C), thus an Evening of Sweating. It was UNCOMFORTABLE, to say the least.
It was more like a JULY Evening & NOT “Indian Summer.”
Things have cooled off here on this Saturday Morning in Queens.

Deo Gratias!

EWTN “Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom at the 2013 Napa Institute Conference” on YouTube

2 Apr

Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom at the 2013 Napa Institute Conference:

This is a major Conference of the Catholic Church, Predominantly in the Roman Rite, this Byzantine Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom(Bishop, Confessor, Doctor of The Church, Tridentine Calendar Feast is January 27th in keeping with the Celebration of The Three Holy Hierarchs of The Eastern Catholic Churches of One, Holy, Catholic & Apostolic Church and in the New Liturgical Calendar of the Ordinary Form Mass on September 14th)was offered at the Napa Institute Conference to show the Diversity of Expression in the Liturgies of The Church.
With a Choir, this Timeless Liturgy which is over 1600 Years Old & Older than the Tridentine Latin Mass, is one of Wonder & Awe.
Even without a Choir, it is a Liturgy of Wonder & Awe, for from November 2013 to October of 2014, I went to 23 Ukrainian Byzantine Divine Liturgies offered in English at St. George Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church in the East Village In Manhattan & Holy Cross Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church in Astoria Queens.
I have to go back to Mass in both locations. I an awed by that Liturgy.
Deo Gratias

NYC Spring Time In About 3 Hours

20 Mar

At least it’ll warm up tomorrow.
The Last Vestiges of Another Bad Winter will fade away EVENTUALLY.

Explosively Too Cold To Do Anything

15 Feb

Will take it easy and stay warm, staying off bad left leg.
Normally, February show temperature moderation, but not this winter of 2015. It didn’t really become cold until a week and a half ago. Conditions are Arctic Like with Fierce Winds, causing the Cuurent 10 Degrees Fahrenheit to feel like -11 Degrees Fahrenheit. The Sun is going down. It will be colder later, here in Forest Hills, Queens.

More Snow On The Way

31 Jan

More Snow on way on Super Bowl on Sunday.
It figures. It’s Winter.

It Isn’t 33°C Here In Queens But It Is Uncomfortable

2 Sep

While Labour Day is the Unofficial End of Summer, Summer actually ends September 20th. It will cool off rather nicely by Sunday September 20th, this year. It has been a comfortable Summer, but there is always a reminder that Summer is Summer and currently due to all the Humidity, one can safely say that the 5 Boroughs is not Arizona’s Dry Heat. Rather it is more like Florida, a place colonized by “Snowbirds.” They are Ex NYC Residents who don’t like to shovel Snow and who can blame them.
It is 30°C, or 86°F, and Humid, hence uncomfortable to the core. Sometimes, the stores are so over air conditioned that muscles ache, which is Bursitis Pain and that is not fun.
Sunday, I was drenched from perspiring due to the Humidity, so I dried off by going to the Tridentine Latin Mass at St Agnes on East 43rd Street(Venerable Archbishop Fulton J Sheen Place). The Ecstasy was drying off. But there was the Agony of Bursitis, so I simply offered up the pain as a Suffering.

I wish that a Cold Front would come through. I like Fresh Breezes and Natural Coolness.

Kyrie Elaison!

If It Is 33° In July and You’re Sweating

1 Sep

33°C is 91°F and yes it can be quite uncomfortable.
I know from listening to CBC Radio One Montreal, 88.5 FM(104.7 FM in the West End), about how Canadians report weather. I know that it doesn’t sound like WCBS 880AM, but Metric is the way of the Rest Of The World, Eh.
Thought I would give your mind a tease, and a laugh which you need.
