“Gospel & Homily Feast Of St John Chrysostom” on YouTube

28 Jan

It is in Tridentine Latin Mass Calendar Country, where one will find the Great Eastern Catholic Heirachial Saints being honoured.

I know that you may think of St. John Chrysostom as a Heirarch Saint of Eastern Orthodoxy, particularly Greek Orthodox Churches, but he is a CATHOLIC Saint, Bishop, Confessor & Doctor of The Church. He was Archbishop of Constantinople, in short, Patriarch of Constantinople, in the time of One, Holy, Catholic & Apostolic Church. He is Patron Saint of Orators & Preachers. He was at war with Heretics called Arians. Arians believed the Heretical Teachings of a Priest called Arius, who taught that Jesus Christ was a Super Perfect Man, but NOT GOD.
He was a Student of St
Basil The Great(Bishop, Martyr, Confessor & Doctor Of The Church).
St. John Chrysostom did much anslysis of the Gospels and gave great commentary.
He was a True Reformer of The Catholic Liturgy. With the Epistle, Gradual, Alleluia & Gospel, it became the Practice of The Eastern Catholic Churches & eventually the Latin Church.Since the Liturgy was about the Re-presentation of Christ’s Sacrifice on The Cross, St. John Chrysostom wrote an Anaphora & added the Prayer Response from a New Testament Codex “For Thine is The Kingdom, The Power & The Glory, Father, Son & Holy Spirit, Now & Ever & Forever”, which is the Doxology of The “Our Father”, chanted by the Priest. It is also chanted by the Priest in an earlier part of The Divine Liturgy.
But, his orations of The Gospel & Homilies are what he was known for, as well as certain short statements attributed to him. He is quoted 18 Times in “The Catechism Of The Catholic Church.”
There is more to The Catholic Church than just the Latin(Roman) Church. Learn the Eastern Catholic Churches & you will truly learn about The Church which Christ Founded.

Deo Gratias!
Vivat Christus Rex!

Evangelisation Can Be As Easy As A Click

24 Dec

A very wise man by the name of Father Christopher Salvatori, who is most noted for The Tridentine Latin Mass in many locations in the RC Archdiocese of New York, particularly at Holy Innocents RC Church in Midtown Manhattan, says that Evangelism can be as easy as a click of one’s mouse.

How Very True:

Think about this as there are Catholic Sources that need to be pushed out there. Use Twitter, Facebook & Google+, agressively.

If you have a Smartphone, there are apps for The Video Services. And there are Live Services such as Veetle, Tarsii, Ustream, Bambuser &, Yes, You Tube. If the Evangelical Protestants can web telecast their services, well so can you, telecast that Mass or Divine Liturgy.

And another thing, at The March For Life, do televise from your phones certain short segments. It is important that the message gets out there. Emphasize Your CATHOLICISM.

A Blessed Octave of Christmas!

“Traditio, Traditio….Traditio”(A Touch Of “Fiddler On The Roof”)

18 Dec

My Most Dear Friend has gone & done it. After the purchase of a Used Tridentine Latin Mass Missal in 2013 & a White Mantilla in 2014 & a Black Mantilla in 2015, it was on Wednesday, December 16th, 2015 at the 6:00PM Tridentine Latin Mass at Holy Innocents RC Church in Midtown Manhattan on West 37th Street between Broadway and 7th Avenue, where she 1st Experienced “Traditio.”
The Mass, offered by a Priest, assisted by a Deacon & Subdeacon, was a Missa Solemnes(High Mass).

She has finally experienced “The REAL Roman/Latin Rite.” And Since she is a Convert from Greek Orthodoxy, she saw certain elements from the TLM which correspond to The Divine Liturgy Of St John Chrysostom.
For she told me that she had gone to a Wedding Liturgy in The Hamptons at a Methodist Church & that this morning’s Novus Ordo Mass, looked like that Methodist Liturgy.
It was at this point that I explained the Novus Ordo Liturgy & the fact that this Liturgy had Protestants involved in the Design.

She noticed that the differences of the two Roman Rite Masses are “Night & Day.” Only one of them, the Tridentine Latin Mass, truly “Speaks Catholic”, especially on The High Altar.

25Th Sunday After Pentecost(Restored 6th Sunday After Epiphany)

16 Nov

Time After Pentecost in the Tridentine Calendar, used to be the Calendar for me until Sunday, November 30th, 1969, when the Roman/Latin Rite changed over to The Novus Ordo.
It is(Tridentine)my Catholic Calendar again. To me, Sundays in Ordinary Time do not have the same verve as Sundays after Specific Feasts of The Church. Going Generic was NOT a Good Idea. It was 6 Sundays After Epiphany and Septuagessima Sundays, which led to the Sundays of Lent & then the Easter Cycle, concluding with The Octave of Pentecost. Killing off The Octave of Pentecost in The Roman/Latin Rite Catholic Church, was a Concession to Protestants.

During 2015, we had an Early Lent due to an early Easter, hence no 6th Sunday After Epiphany & no Septuagesima, so on the 25th Sunday After Pentecost, the 6th Sunday After Epiphany was restored. The Epistle, Gradual & Alleluia & Gospel, followed The After Epiphany Cycle, which is part of the Christmas Cycle, so the Easter & Christmas Cycles met, as this only occurs in the Tridentine Form of The Roman/Latin Rite, as such arrangement does NOT exist in the Ordinary Form of Mass.
St. Paul spoke of Hope & The Power of The Holy Ghost, while in the 13th Chapter of The Holy Gospel According to Saint Matthew, Christ spoke in Parables, in regards to the Tiny Mustard Seed & the Bread With The Leaven, for both rose to greater heights.
Next Sunday there are two forms celebrated in The Roman/Latin Rite. The Tridentine Latin Mass Calendar calls this Sunday “The 26th & Last Sunday After Pentecost”, which preaches the End Of The World.
In the Novus Ordo Mass Calendar, It is The Feast of Christ The King, on the B Cycle Readings.
The Next Sunday on both Calendars is The 1st Sunday of Advent.

The Year is passing quickly.

It Was Like A July Night In November

7 Nov

It was Sultry out there, especially in the Caverns of Midtown Manhattan, as I had gone to The Holy Sacrifice Of The Mass At Holy Innocents RC Church in Midtown Manhattan on West 37th Street between Broadway and 7th Avenue. In fact it was so Sultry, the Air was way too moist & it was 75°F(24°C), thus an Evening of Sweating. It was UNCOMFORTABLE, to say the least.
It was more like a JULY Evening & NOT “Indian Summer.”
Things have cooled off here on this Saturday Morning in Queens.

Deo Gratias!
