Evangelisation Can Be As Easy As A Click

24 Dec

A very wise man by the name of Father Christopher Salvatori, who is most noted for The Tridentine Latin Mass in many locations in the RC Archdiocese of New York, particularly at Holy Innocents RC Church in Midtown Manhattan, says that Evangelism can be as easy as a click of one’s mouse.

How Very True:

Think about this as there are Catholic Sources that need to be pushed out there. Use Twitter, Facebook & Google+, agressively.

If you have a Smartphone, there are apps for The Video Services. And there are Live Services such as Veetle, Tarsii, Ustream, Bambuser &, Yes, You Tube. If the Evangelical Protestants can web telecast their services, well so can you, telecast that Mass or Divine Liturgy.

And another thing, at The March For Life, do televise from your phones certain short segments. It is important that the message gets out there. Emphasize Your CATHOLICISM.

A Blessed Octave of Christmas!

Gloria In Excelcis Deo!

Live Web Telecasts To Be Handled On You Tube, Ustream, Livestream, Bambuser & Tarsii.

19 Dec

In fact, if the K of C Free Throw Basketball Championship is Telecast, it will be ln HD 1080p, on You Tube, via the Live In Five Streaming App.

Telecast will be Titled & Fed Live To Google+, Facebook, Tumblr, & You Tube(Via Stationsquare.ml’s Channel).

As I have Android, You Tube becomes a major option since replays become You Tube Videos, which can be watched on both Android & iPhone as well as Windows Phone & Desktops.

When Televising an Irish Gaelic Language Performance from Babylon, NY the other evening, the Replay could only be seen on Ustream via Android & on Desktops & not on iPhone or iPad, since iOS does not handle Flash Video, except with a Special Browser.

You Tube is now a Live Option & since the replay is a Video, hey, it works for me.And Tarsii by Veetle, which hooks to Twitter, is another Telecast Option.

Mobile Coverage & Signals In Central Park

26 Sep

In Regards to MetroPCS:
It’s Wholly Owned by T Mobile & the T Mobile Signal & Data were strong 4G LTE. Hey, coverage via Bambuser.com was strong.

Verizon Wireless:
Complaints from users in Central Park were rather numerous, as the Network may have been overcrowded. Trying to transmit Data from Central Park was a chore during the Papal Procession in Central Park. Then again, You Tube was overcrowded.

AT&T was busy. Sprint, well, STILL SUCKS. Text Messaging flowed all around the World from Central Park. I received a text from Europe & responded, as the Message came from AC 917.

This is the Big Difference between Pope Saint John Paul II’s Masses in both Aqueduct Race Track & Central Park. None of us had Smartphones, nor Text Messaging in 1995.

But, This Papal Visit is one for the books and one wonders just how did we do without these conveniences.

We just did!

Deo Gratias!

March For Life & New Media

23 Jul

The Web has changed the News Game. And over the past few years, the Smartphone has changed the way News is transmitted.
One no longer has to rely on local newspapers or Radio and Television Networks to cover a story.
It is DYI Time. It is YOUR Story. In short, YOU Are Your Own Media Outlet. You are The Content Provider. And I have a few tips for you.

You Tube is OVERRATED. You read me correctly. It seems that people are under the misconception that because one uploads a Video to You Tube, one is already famous.

You must be reading too many editions of “You Tube For Dummies” if you fall for the line that you’ll be famous. Please! You Tube is often a Ticket to Utter OBLIVION. Zero is a Number and that is often what occurs on that service unless you have $$$ to shell out for a Viewing Number Enhancement Service. So unless you’re Justin Bieber, you can forget it. Ditto, Alex Jones!

If you must shoot a 15 Minute Video, there is Dailymotion. It is the World’s Second Largest Video Site and chances are quite Good for receiving recognition for your time you put into making that video. I received recognition for recording the 2nd Round of the 2011 Knights Of Columbus International Free Throw Basketball Championship with the Video Coverage on Dailymotion, being carried over the Belgian Website of Europe’s Largest Privately Owned Broadcaster, RTL. Your chances are better than shooting video and uploading it to You Tube & besides, your High Definition Video will actually look like a High Definition Video, in short, will look Professional.
And it is a much better audience, as there aren’t the usual moronics watching Dailymotion.
Vimeo, provided that you have a $9.95 per Month account for Vimeo Plus, is a great option and you also will not have a moronic audience here.

Both Dailymotion and Vimeo upload videos quickly. I recommend either of these two services. In case of uploading to You Tube on the day of the March For Life, expect long waits because of huge numbers of uploaders, which may take awhile.
So forget You Tube if you want your work to be recognized.

We are in the Era of Live Video over the Web. One no longer has to hook a Video Camera to a Mac, PC or Chromebook present live video. One can do this via Smartphone or Tablet. And there are Apps for this function.

There is the Ever Ubiquitous Ustream.tv, the Best Known Live Video Streaming Service, which is on iPhone and Android. It may not be good for Local Pro Life Rallies but CBS News and NBC use this service, so you might not be recognized, though it hooks into Facebook.
An Alternative is internationally known Bambuser, based in Sweden and Finland. The Associated Press is aligned with them and the App is nice and light, not eating up Megabytes. The AP may show interest in your coverage.
Still, another good alternative is Veetle.com in the USA. There is a good audience on this channel and one may hook into Facebook and Twitter as well as paste code into Blogs. iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad and Android are the Platforms here for Smartphones.
Protestant Evangelicals are using Veetle, so I encourage Pro Life Catholics at these Rallies to use Veetle aggressively, as this is Free and an Alternative to You Tube, as is Bambuser.A 3rd Service called Streamera(Streamago) is another thought and is live, though 4G LTE and Wi Fi.

Have A Skype Account handy, as someone may want to plug into your Live Video Streaming Coverage. Also, make sure to have an Unlimited Data Plan. I have Unlimited 4G LTE Coverage on T-Mobile’s Metro PCS, which doesn’t strain the phone the way Sprint’s Virgin Mobile 2.5 GB 4G LTE did. In fact with Unlimited 4G LTE, all will be smooth.

For those who prefer short videos, Vine and Instagram will have your short videos hooked into Facebook. Also, Google+ is good along with Twitter.

Socialcam, on both iOS, Android and Windows Phone 8.1 is hooked into Facebook and You Tube as well as Instagram. Video is uploaded quickly. This was founded by the founders of the pioneering Justin.tv.
Another is Keek, with ability to do short video coverage. iOS, Android, Windows Phone 8.1 and BlackBerry Platforms & a younger audience.

Pro Life Catholics must become more adept at using the New Technology and it is intuitive. There is more to it than You Tube.
iTunes is available for putting your coverage out there.

Get a CNN iReport Account and upload your Videos there. You really get exposure on that site. Vine and Instagram are great for short coverage, picked up on Facebook and Twitter.
Tumblr is great for short videos and Younger Catholics go there more often now.

This is my list of March For Life New Media Services for Catholics. We must use these Services to get the Pro Life Movement Message out there.
For outside of FOX News, we could be forgotten.

Vivat Jesus!
Vivat Christus Rex!

OVERRATED You Tube

4 Jul

Many People have absolutely No Idea about what is called “New Media.”
“New Media” is a changeover from the Prevailing Mainstream way of delivering Program Content and News. Much of this New Media is Independent, rather than controlled by Broadcast Networks and Studios.
At one time, Terrestial Television was carried into one’s home or school. It was live or film. And if you didn’t tune in at 8:00PM ET, that was it. You missed the show. There was no such bird as “Video On Demand.”
Prior to Television was Radio, operating in the same way as Television.

The Web changed all of that. So did Digital Cable TV and Video Recorders, prior to The Web or Internet. The Internet is the Land of Experimentation in Content Delivery.

Who Came First? Vimeo or You Tube?
If you said Vimeo, you must be a Whiz Kid, for it is in November, 2004, when Vimeo came about on the Island of Manhattan.
In March, 2005, Dailymotion premiered in France, ahead of You Tube. It was in April of 2005 that You Tube went into Beta.

Things changed even more when Apple Introduced The iPhone and Google introduced Android to Smartphones and Internet Appliances such as Tablets.

And now in this era, one can telecast live via the Web from a Smartphone to anywhere in the World on the web, without having
to wait to upload to Video Sharing Services. People were watching on Veetle, Ustream and Bambuser from Ukraine, and from the Middle East.

In fact, an Opera Rehearsal was being live telecast on Veetle in January, 2014 and People actually watched on the Web. It came from Forest Hills here in Queens. Live Internet Television including Replay, had arrived.

It took the 2011 Video Coverage of The Knights of Columbus International Free Throw Basketball Championship on Vimeo, Dailymotion, Blip Networks and You Tube, to show that these events don’t need You Tube to get viewers. Dailymotion was 4 To One over You Tube with Vimeo even higher than that. Blip Networks had higher 1st Round #s than all of the 4 Rounds of Coverage on You Tube. Yet to calm the “Soccer Moms From The Underworld” and their “Little Darlings”, a You Tube Feed was ordered and enforced with threats to the Producer on a Regular Basis. Their Egos, actually surpassing the Ego of one Mr Alex Rodriguez, are such that their “Little Darlings” will approach the Viewing Numbers of Justin Bieber, merely for shooting Basketballs from the Foul Line.

You Tube is so “2005”, hence Yesterday’s Tech.
You Tube, Overcrowded and OVERRATED!

“Catholics In The Media” Snowed Out

6 Mar

I was looking forward to the RC Diocese Of Brooklyn’s “Theology On Tap” Session, hosted by Deacon Greg Kandra, at Manor Hofbrau on Yellowstone Blvd in Forest Hills. The Subject was to be “Catholics In The Media.”
Unfortunately, it snowed pretty hard all day. I emailed the Brooklyn Diocese around 11:30AM(1:00PM in Newfoundland).
It was 3:35PM(5:05 PM in Newfoundland), when I got the news that The Event went the way of all this Snow. It was cancelled.

But, I had plans to live web telecast it, either on Bambuser or Veetle. Since Bambuser is more News Oriented, the Next Event will be on Bambuser.
You Tube is so “2005.” Bambuser & Veetle are “Here & Now”(Hic et Nunc).

Couldn’t it snow with A-Rod at the plate?
