You Tube Live Streaming is NOT worth it in regards to The Coverage of the Knights Of Columbus International Free Throw Basketball Championship.
You Tube is overused by People who record the K of C Free Throw. There are a Few Thousand of these Videos on You Tube. Only ONE is a You Tube Live Streaming Telecast. When Televising an Irish Gaelic Language Performance from Babylon, NY the other evening, the Replay could only be seen on Ustream via Android & on Desktops & not on iPhone or iPad, since iOS does not handle Flash Video, except with a Special Browser.

You Tube is now a Live Option & since the replay is a Video, hey, it works for me.And Tarsii by Veetle, which hooks to Twitter, is another Telecast Option.

It’s Time, My Catholic Brethren To Go BEYOND You Tube(Or Live On You Tube)

You Tube, I realize, is a Household Name. I see that at Knights Of Columbus International Free Throw Basketball Championship Coverage Time, from January through March. It is as Predictable as Cold Weather in Antarctica. It is as if nothing else exists. But, You Tube is NOT the ONLY thing out there.
And for Catholics, You Tube shouldn’t be the ONLY THING utilized in “The New Evangelism.”

It’s Time to “Move On” to something newer than You Tube, which is passe’, as it is 10 Years Old. Your Parish or Ancient Order of Hibernians Division or Knights Of Columbus Council Event is NOT going to draw Justin Beiber Like Numbers on You Tube, unless your organizations have cash on hand to increase views via a “Clicking Farm.” As it was discovered about 5 Years Ago, as Live Streaming Services were starting up & Smartphones became Cost Effective Ways to produce & direct events, Alternatives to You Tube were found. The World’s Second Largest Video Service, Dailymotion, based in France & 80% Owned by Vivendi, became Home to the 1st Ever HD Coverage of The Knights Of Columbus International Free Throw Basketball Championship Coverage, to be seen outside of You Tube. Artistically Inclined Vimeo was Primary Host of the 2011 Long Island Final Coverage. There were Viewers in 80 Nations around the World watching, including many in the USA. Of course it was no fun listening to assorted “Soccer Parents From The Underworld”, repeating the Mantra that ONLY You Tube delivers Huge Numbers of Viewers. Apparently, they never watched ANYTHING Else other than You Tube, which is banned in many nations. There were Viewers in Iran & Mainland China, viewing the Coverage on Vimeo. Meanwhile, the Biggest You Tube Coverage Viewers were located in Eastern Canada, for an event in Queens, NY. One wonders if “CBC News-The National” should receive promos on You Tube Free Throw Basketball Championship Coverage. I even considered putting on a Pregame Show called “10:30 In Newfoundland”, complete with an Impersonation of The Voice of Wendy Mesley on CBC, intoning “10:30 In Newfoundland.” Hey, no one in East Glendale, Queens, was watching the Competition, Home to the “You Tube Demographic Experts.”
I do head over to Veetle, Ustream, Livestream, Et Cetera & find that loads of Protestant Services are aired on these Livestreaming Services. Then, I look at You Tube & find that Catholics tend to go to You Tube(Though, Lately, Dailymotion & Vimeo are becoming places for Video as well).
But there are the Live Streaming Services, which can be done from a Smartphone. And they are free. And for those of us living in the “New Evangelism”, Certain Polemicists have done great work on the Services outside of You Tube. Michael Voris’ “Mic’d Up”, used both Livestream & Blog Talk Radio as a Simulcast. Louis Verrecchio uses Vimeo in his “The Tradwriter” Videos. And “The Remnant Newspaper” will be adding live video operations & Vimeo.

You Tube is so 2005. It’s Time to expand beyond there.

The “Live Feed” Grows On The Mobile

One does NOT often think beyond You Tube. In fact some people are stuck in the Year 2005, when it comes to Video.
But, this is beyond the You Tube Era. Vimeo, Dailymotion, You Tube, BlipNetworks(Defunct) & Viddler & AOL Video are about Old Video.
However, Google’s You Tube does go into the world of Live Video Streaming. But there are other services which hook into Facebook & Twitter &, lately, Yahoo Owned tumblr.
On Saturday February 7th, 2015, from a Smartphone running on Sprint’s 4G LTE Data Network, the 2nd Round of The Knights Of Columbus International Free Throw Basketball Championship From Glendale, Queens, NY, was LIVE over Veetle.com, making this the 1st Ever Live Telecast over the Internet of The Knights Of Columbus International Free Throw Basketball Championship, an event usually confined to You Tube, though in 2011, under my then Production Company, it was seen on You Tube, Vimeo, Dailymotion, BlipNetworks, Viddler & Ireland’s iVideo.ie. This was a break with the New Broadcast Tradition ofTube Tube ONLY. The use of Dailymotion gave The Round Two Competition, exposure on the Belgian Website of Europe’s Largest Private Broadcaster, RTL(Radio Tele Luxembourg). Greater exposure was on Vimeo & Not You Tube in 2011.
So, the Era of The Live Feed is here. In fact the most original world news coverage of events is coming via Smartphones, such as what occurred in Paris, also the Middle East & in Ukraine. Even coverage of Pope Francis in NYC was covered live on Smartphones.

I have 5 Live Video Streaming Apps, which can be deployed within seconds for Instant Live Video Streaming Feeds, hooked into Facebook & Twitter, with one hooked into tumblr as well. This makes mere Video Sharing Services Obsolete. Ustream, Veetle, Periscope, Twit Casting Live, Bambuser & Livecast, make everything so immediate. So does Stre.am. I find the Paris Coverage on Bambuser, Twit Casting Live & Peruscope to be a Breath of Fresh Air.

Veetle Not Working For Android 5.1.1 Users

Android Lollipop 5.1.1 Users, the Veetle Live Video Sharing App is currently useless, as Network Error Messages abound. In fact that App will stay off this phone until the Fix comes to the App.

But, I am content to use Bambuser and Ustream.tv. Both Apps are working fine. The same goes for Livestream. Streamago(Streamera) was removed, as I suspect that there is a Problem with Android Lollipop 5.1.1. Uploads to Dailymotion from Website are rapid. Uploads to Vimeo from App are rapid. And the same goes for You Tube.

Fix The Problem, Veetle.

Lunar Interference Last Evening

There was a problem trying to bring the Video Feed over usually reliable Veetle.com. The feed never went over Veetle so uploadable video was sent over Dailymotion, You Tube and Vimeo, as well as Live Video Streaming over Bambuser, Ustream.tv and over newcomer, Web.tv.

Livestream.com will be Home to coverage of Most Reverend James Massa’s Mass of Thanksgiving from Our Lady Queen Of Martyrs RC Church in Forest Hills, Queens NY, beginning at 1130AM EDT(1630 GMT), and will be fed to Facebook and Google+ and tumblr.

I don’t think there will be any Lunar Interference at 1130AM EDT.

From Now On, No Ustream.tv

I find Veetle to be a great place for Cultural Occurrences. Bambuser is a Fine Backup Network.

I have read that the biggest place to be viewed is on Ustream.tv. I, on the other hand, find that Ustream is like You Tube, in short, Highly Overrated.  The video quality is much better on Veetle. There are actually more people who tune into Veetle. Bambuser is also quite good. The viewers on both streaming networks look for something different from the Broadcast Networks.

So unless I do something on the lines of Andy Warhol, Ustream is out of the picture.

The next broadcast of a Classical Music Nature, will be either Sunday, June 8th or Saturday, June 7th, 2014, at 7:30PM ET(0030 GMT). In either case, Veetle is my 1st Choice, with Bambuser as Backup Network.

One thing is been constant is that on Veetle, I do see who is watching, and the #s are pretty good. Ustream is a waste of time unless one is CBS News. This is an experimental business so I will go wherever the programming I produce, is actually watched, not what some tech writer says. I found that to be true with Vimeo, Dailymotion and You Tube.

One Size Does NOT Fit All.
