Catholic Radio Beyond EWTN

21 Feb

I’m listening to Relevant Radio with TuneIn. #No
wPlaying http://tun.in/seprW
Growing up here in NYC, particularly in Brooklyn, outside of owning a shortwave radio, there was really no such thing as Catholic Radio, unless one picked up Vatican Radio on Shortwave. Now there were Protestant Radio Stations & even Jewish Radio, but nothing of Catholic Radio.
Now there is The Web and a growth of Catholic Radio. On Shortwave I used to listen to EWTN in the 1990s & eventually via the web. It was great because until this century, EWTN was not yet on Time Warner Cable in the 5 Boroughs.
There are 3 such Catholic Stations, an AM FM Combo & one in Newark NJ, whose signals reach NYC. One is in Trenton NJ & the FM is in Freehold NJ. I usually use the Tune In Radio App to access these stations. There is a 4th Station, WQOM in Boston, also accessed by the Tune In App.
Give them a listen. You’ll learn about The Catholic Church.

Deo Gratias!

“Knights of Columbus to March Alongside Gay Pride Group”

6 Mar

Knights of Columbus to March Alongside Gay Pride Group: http://youtu.be/1rkWctHpLik

To My Brother Knights in The Commonwealth of Massachusetts:

To enter a St. Patrick’s Day Parade which a Catholic School will not March in because the School considers the Parade Organizers to be in Violation of Catholic Teaching, after never having been in it before, because the Parade Organizers gave into People who believe, not in what the Catholic Church Officially Teaches, but in their own Secularist Agenda of Belief in One of The 7 Sins Crying Out To Heaven For Vengeance, as if it was a mere walk in the park, puts the Order in an exceptionally Bad Light.

Fr. Michael J. Mc Giveney would “Roll Over In His Tomb”. In fact he would probably deny he even knows you.

In Memory of The Founders Of The Order:
Don’t Do It.

Fraternally Yours,
M PGK

A Death, Bill Belichik, A Call From Above

4 Feb

Ann Mara died. She is the Widow of Wellington Mara. A moment of Silence was held before Super Bowl XLIX.

For Bill Belichik stood solemnly for this moment, as he was once a Giants Assistant Coach under Bill Parcells in the Glory Times of the Middle 1980s-Early 1990s. Belichik understood the World of “Mara Tech” quite well. For he looked as if his Bravado was gone. He even appeared with what appeared to be a tear in his eye.

It was a moment few, if any, would notice, if any at all. But I took notice of this 3 Days Ago, especially since Sunday, February 1st was Super Bowl Sunday.

It was as if Bill was in meditative prayer mode when the NFL made the announcement.

And in “Mara Tech” Style, Belichik was victorious.

Pete Carroll was not from “Mara Tech.”

The Maritimes Are Facing The Brunt Of The Blizzard

28 Jan

Dear New York Metro Area:
With only a foot of Snow, you got off easy.
But New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland, well they are getting Walloped by this storm.
One wonders if this is a foretelling of what may occur at Super Bowl XLIX, score Wise.
About a Metre and One Half is expected in those areas.
New England got walloped today. Is this a sign that Belichik and Company will meet a Similar Fate?
The answer is Sunday at 6pm(7:30pm in Newfoundland)until the end of the game.
Meanwhile, New Yorkers got off easy.

The 7th Inning Tribute

29 Sep

It was almost as if the game was in The Bronx, except for the Proximity of The Cask and Flagon, Boston Beer Works and Game On Cafe, Brookline Avenue and the Massachusetts Turnpike & a Subway Line that looks like it would run near Ebbets Field in Brooklyn, above ground. Yes, this is Boston, which is a Fun Place.

And this was a farewell to a Baseball Superstar from the Mortal Enemy of The Boston Red Sox, the New York Yankees. It was done with Classical Music playing behind Irish Tenor, Ronan Tynan.
Ronan Tynan, Tenor and Medicinae Doctor, sang “God Bless America”, which was followed by Noted Latin American Musician and former NY Yankees Centerfielder, Bernie Williams, in a Musical Tribute to The Legendary Derek Sanderson Jeter, a major part of The Great Red Sox-Yankees Rivalry.

I was truly moved to Tears and they did flow.

And now that’s over.

With A Base Hit, It Ended

28 Sep

I was in tears just a few minutes ago, as Derek Jeter came out of the game.
A Great Baseball Era has ended.
