Another Segment Added To “The Kong Show On Blip-Second Season”

29 Sep

If anything, The Live Performance of The NYC Cabaret Act, The Kong Show, looks for revenue sources. The Television Side of The Act looks for Underwriters. The Web Side on Blip, well, it is ad supported and we would like the viewers to click on the ads so the Web Side of the show can raise revenue, for both the Television Show and Webcast on Blip, as well as for The Kong Show.
There is an entertaining segment called The Show Raffle, run by Ella Louise Smith, Show Co-Creator and Co-Host.
The Show Raffle Segment is currently seen on Vimeo.com. But for the Second Season, coming up at the end of October, this rather-entertaining segment will move over to Blip.tv. I think it will be enjoyable. It has a touch of “The $1.98 Beauty Pageant” to it. The Prizes are inexpensive. And that is the fun of it all. It also raises revenue for the show.
Do watch the web show on your desktop and click on the ads. Do Google, Bing or Yahoo “The Kong Show On Blip” and in November starting 11/2/12, “The Kong Show On Blip-The Second Season.” You will find it oh so entertaining.

Brooklyn-No Pride Like It

29 Sep

I may have lived in Queens for the past 30 Years, but where did it all begin?
BROOKLYN!
Next Week, I have a Film to be in, called “Scallywag.” It will be shot in Greenpoint in the Industrial Area. I will be in North Brooklyn. There are no streets which are numbered.
I came from Cypress Hills, which borders Queens. Yet, I am as much Brooklyn Born and Raised as someone from Marine Park, Canarsie or Flatbush.
I remember Williamsburg as a slum. Ditto, Bushwick! Yet, they are now the hotspots of a Borough, the Hottest Place in NYC.
I am from Brooklyn-Get usta it!

A Soft, Romantic and Unusual Occurence

28 Sep

Yom Kippur had just ended a few hours before. I was working on “The Kong Show On Blip” Project via my iPod Touch 4G, connected via Wi Fi Hotspot to the web. This iPod Touch, now using iOS 6, operates as if it was a MacBook Air, except that this Mobile Computer can be put back in a jacket pocket.
Two people were speaking softly and embracing each other. One was Asian and the other was dark haired with a bit of a deep voice.
It continued for nearly an hour, across the street from the Forest Hills Jewish Center. The scene seemed so romantic and then I noticed something. It looked like this was straight out of a scene from “Girl Girl Scene” on Blip.tv. But it was Real and not Reel Life. These were two Female Teens making out on a park bench.
“Girl Girl Scene”, from the Midwest, about a group of Unashamedly Young Lesbians, is on Blip.tv. Publicity Scenes do appear on Tumblr. It was as if I had seen a live performance.

Succoth, Just After Yom Kippur

28 Sep

Just after Yom Kippur, The Most Solemn Day of the Jewish Calendar has concluded, the Festive Holiday of Succoth comes to the fore. Think of this as Jewish Thanksgiving.
A cousin of mine, son of a 1st Cousin, was Bar Mitzvahd on Succoth 32 Years Ago in New Jersey. While I am not a Jew, I do have some understanding of the Holidays and Holy Days of Judaism.
After all, Christianity is descended from Judaism, so it is good to know the root.

The Kong Show On Blip-Two Web Networks Used

27 Sep

“The Kong Show On Blip” operates from Astoria, Queens and from Club Iguana in Midtown Manhattan. Production Plans and Rehearsals are done in Astoria, Queens. Web Production is coordinated from Astoria, Forest Hills and Woodhaven in Queens. Recording for Television and Web, is usually at Club Iguana in Midtown Manhattan, unless there is something special in Astoria.
The Mainline Entertainment is for both Television and Web. The Primary Television is Queens Public Television(QPTV), and on Blip.tv(Web).
The Secondary Segments are webcast on Vimeo.com.
On the television side, the programs emirate via Queens Public Television in Flushing, Queens They are fed to Time Warner Cable, RCN Cable and Verizon FiOS. This Television Feed is only for Queens
The Web Feed is similar in vein to the Major Television Networks. Unlike CBS, NBC, ABC and FOX, the origination point is on the web.
The Programmmes are uploaded from here in Queens, usually at a Wi Fi Hotspot in Forest Hills, Queens to Blip.tv, located in NoLiTa, next to SoHo in Manhattan. From Blip in New York, a direct feed to Tumblr, somewhere below West 23rd Street in Manhattan, is accomplished by pressing on a Dialogue Box on the Show Page. This sends the feed uptown to Tumblr. Another Dialogue Box for Google+ is pushed, sending the Blip Feed to San Bruno, CA, where Google is located. Another Dialogue Box for Twitter is pushed, sending the feed link to Twitter in San Francisco, CA. As “The Kong Show On Blip” is being fed from a mobile computer(iPod Touch 4G on iOS 6), the Dialogue Box for Mail opens up Facebook, Twitter, Mail and Copy Link. All these icons are pushed, sending Blip Feed Links to Facebook and Twitter in San Francisco, Mail Link to Google Mail for link to Posterous Spaces in San Francisco, CA. Posterous Spaces then links up with Twitter and Facebook in Frisco and Tumblr back in Manhattan(Chelsea). Copy link is used for copying the Show Link for linking on WordPress(San Francisco), Live Journal(San Francisco), LinkedIn(San Francisco, with LinkedIn sending link to Twitter). WordPress also links to Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Pinterest(San Francisco, which links with Facebook and Twitter) and Digg in Manhattan, StumbleUpon in San Francisco. On the desktop, links to Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Tumblr abound.
Sometimes I feel like I am on the West Coast without ever leaving Queens.
The Vimeo.com Operation is in Chelsea, across from Chelsea Piers in Manhattan. From the App, one can reach Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and WordPress, by email to Posterous Spaces and ShowYou.com.
So this show has an audience, mostly in the US via Blip and on a More International Scale via Vimeo. Vimeo also links to Pinterest.
Now THAT Is a NETWORK.

The Kong Show On Blip Is Doing Nicely

27 Sep

Like I have said before, never run to You Tube because everybody is doing it. You may have a great show, but if someone has a similar title, your show may get lost in the shuffle.
“The Kong Show On Blip” is a NYC Cabaret Act, now put together as a Series. Blip.tv is perfect for just that. There are too many shows on You Tube with Kong in the titles.
Getting onto Blip with segments of the Cabaret Show, is working. At the last live show, some audience members stated that they saw the “Reality” version on Blip. Nice to know that the Show now has an online following.
It would get lost on You Tube. I doubt that anyone would even know us.
